The first process in reverse engineering is digitizing the part. This is done by scanning the part and producing a point cloud. We are capable of producing point cloud data by scanning or digitizing your parts with our on hand scanning devices. A couple of examples of our scanning devices are the PERCEPTRON SCANSHARK and the LEICA TRACKER.

The LEICA TRACKER can be useful in both reverse engineering as well as complex surface inspection to CAD.

If you are working with parts, but don’t have a CAD model for them, we can help you generate point clouds. The point clouds that we generate for you can then be used to create a 3D CAD model that will make your programming much easier and more time efficient and cost effective.
