Leica Geosystems

Leica Geosystems Metrology Division, a product line of Hexagon Metrology headquartered in Unterentfelden, Switzerland, develops portable 3D metrology systems. Ideal for customers in the automotive, aircraft, and general industrial markets to measure large components accurately to tolerances in the hundredth-millimeter range and process the data directly into their CAD systems.

The product range includes laser trackers, image-processing systems, and high-precision industrial total stations, along with an up-to-date spectrum of software that can communicate with all commercial CAD products.

AT401

Leica AT401

Absolutely small. Absolutely portable. Absolutely innovative.

The Absolute Tracker AT401 is the first battery powered, WiFi capable, ultra-long range laser tracker that's so small and lightweight it can actually be carried onboard an airliner as carry-on luggage.

A completely sealed IP54 certified design means this sensor can be installed in the most unforgiving environments. Not even spraying coolant, dust, and weld splash are too harsh. The Leica Absolute Tracker AT401 is the first laser tracker certified for outdoor use, even in the rain. Weighing less than 18 lbs (including controller), the AT401 is ultra portable – easily fitting into the overhead bins of most commercial airplanes.

User friendly PowerLock vision technology detects a reflector and automatically locks on the laser beam, even when the target is moving. An operator no longer needs to worry about breaking the beam.

The Leica Absolute Tracker AT401 can run off its batteries for a work day. With built in WiFi connection, it becomes completely wireless.

Features of the AT401 include:

  • IP54 sealed
  • 8.1 kg (under 18 lbs) including controller
  • WiFi capability eliminates cables
  • Hot swappable battery
  • Automatic Target Recognition (ATR)
  • PowerLock beam recovery technology
  • Absolute Distance Meter (ADM)
  • Quick release tribach and level to gravity sensor
  • Overview camera
  • Integrated environmental monitor
  • Quadruple reading absolute angle detection system
  • Power over ethernet

AT901

Leica-AT901

When 'up close' isn't an option.

The AT901 laser tracker set the benchmark for large scale precision measurements such as windmill blade inspection, aerospace components or industrial machinery alignment. Options allow it to support hand-held wireless probing, hand-held contactless scanning, and full machine control abilities. It can also be used with a standard corner cube, in which case measurement volume goes past 525 ft.

An active vision system built into the sensor can determine where a target is without the need for the laser beam to be locked. This revolutionary system works with all standard reflectors and all Leica T-Products. There’s no need for separate laser interferometers (IFM) and Absolute Distance Meters (ADM).

Features of the AT901 include:

  • Robust construction thermal stability
  • Absolute Interferometer (AIFM) combines data from the Absolute Distance Meter (ADM) with updates from the interferometer
  • 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF)
  • Lean contruction weighing 22kg (just under 50 lbs) and 620mm (approximately 24") in length
  • Versitile mounting
  • Three configurations: basic, mid-range, and long-range
