Hexagon Metrology Quonset PointPoiliticians seem to love to play a bit loosely with the truth. These days we have PolitiFact to help us check if what they are saying is true, half true, or "liar liar pants on fire".  Recenty a debate arose about the value of the Quonset Point industrial park in North Kingstown, RI, home to our North American headquarters and main factory, and whether the industrial park contributed anything to the state besides "jobs".         

As a business located at the Quonset Point industrial park, we'd like to suggest that for our part, we're contributing more to the state than just "jobs" (although we've been adding those too, see our careers page).  As a manufacturer, we source raw materials, subassemblies, and services from other Rhode Island businesses, who in turn create more jobs. We offer quality inspection services and sell productivity enhancing products to other Rhode Island businesses, so they in turn can manufacture things more efficiently. Our output at Quonset point is growing, as we increase the number of product lines we produce locally due to strong demand in the Americas.

And of course, through our partnership with New England Tech, we are helping educate the next generation of Rhode Islanders for careers in manufacturing. 

So, from our point of view, we're very excited about everything going on a Hexagon Metrology in Quonset Point. And thanks to the Quonset Development Corporation for doing a fine job running the park.
