Okuma's Partners in THINC Launch Set For May 1, 2007
North Kingstown, RI – May 1, 2007 – Hexagon Metrology today announced its charter membership with Partners in THINC, a major technology initiative of Okuma America Corporation (Charlotte, NC). Okuma has founded Partners in THINC to advance the knowledge and usage of its innovative THINC®-OSP Control designed to share data through numerous channels with peripheral technologies or directly to a main computer network. Partners in THINC leverages the technology to identify and enable real-time solutions to real world problems. Brown & Sharpe and Wilcox Associates, both Hexagon Metrology divisions, will participate in Okuma's four-day kick-off event at the Partners in THINC facility at 12428 Sam Neely Road, Charlotte, NC. A Hexagon PrecisionCenter is located nearby in Huntersville, NC.
The Partners in THINC facility in Charlotte, NC is the home of open application development in action. Manufacturers are encouraged to bring their best challenge and put the Partners to work.
